Facebook recently introduced improvements to make it easier for marketers to create an immersive and expressive experience on Facebook Canvas Ads. What kind of improvements are we talking about?
These Facebook Canvas Ads improvements include a preview sharing feature to easily share a draft Canvas with other members of your team on mobile. Facebook is also rolling out padding and line height controls to give us more creative control over the look and feel of Canvas. While preview sharing and line height control are universally available to users, the padding will roll out over the next few weeks.
Just wait, there’s more! Facebook made a change to consumer sound controls for Canvas where Canvases will now start out muted and there will be an audio control button I the header of Canvas that will turn the sound on or off.
If you’re a little behind and not sure what Canvas is – here’s the low down. Canvas is “Storytelling coming to life.” You can build your Canvas with a combination of videos, still images and call-to-action buttons. In Canvas, people can swipe through a carousel of images, tilt to view panoramic images and zoom in to view images in detail.
More importantly, Canvas was built to make your content fast loading and a seamless experience on Android and iOS. Get this, Canvas loads as much as 10 times faster than the standard mobile web! There are plenty of ways to use Canvas – tell your brand story, promote a new movie and showcase your products.
Some big names that are already on Canvas are Carnival, Target, BMW, Macy’s, Wendy’s and more. If you haven’t tried it out for yourself yet, give it a shot! Canvas is available through Facebook Power Editor . Once you’ve created a Canvas in Power Editor, Canvas Builder will also be accessible through your Page’s publishing tools and composer. Ready, set, go.
